As I reflect on my journey from being a dedicated head nurse in Diaverum Saudi Arabia for eight years, to assuming the role of Clinic Cluster Manager in Diaverum Singapore in late 2023, I am reminded of the power of perseverance, determination, and the unwavering spirit of womanhood.
Born and raised in the Philippines, my journey has been a testament to the resilience ingrained within every woman. Growing up, I witnessed the struggles and triumphs of my mother, who worked tirelessly to provide for our family. Her resilience became my guiding light, shaping my aspirations and fuelling my determination to defy expectations.
Joining Diaverum Saudi Arabia eight years ago marked a pivotal moment in my career. Started as a Staff Nurse, to an Assistant Team Leader to becoming a Head Nurse, I was able to climb the ladder of success in every way possible way that I could. In a field predominantly dominated by men, I embraced the challenge with eagerness, determined to break barriers and pave the way for other women in healthcare leadership roles. Every obstacle I encountered only fuelled my determination to succeed, knowing that every hurdle overcome was a victory not just for me but for women everywhere.
Transitioning to Diaverum Singapore as Clinic Cluster Manager presented new challenges and opportunities for growth. Leading a diverse team in a dynamic healthcare environment required adaptability, empathy, and a commitment to excellence. As a mother with a young son, balancing the demands of work and family life became a delicate dance, but one that I embraced wholeheartedly, knowing that every step forward was a testament to the strength and resilience of women and a mother.
My journey is a testament to the countless women around the world who dare to dream, defy expectations, and shatter glass ceilings. It is a reminder that our gender does not define our capabilities, but rather, it amplifies our innate strength, compassion, and determination to create a better world for future generations.
